Apple, a well-known American multinational corporation and computer behemoth, has named Sabih Khan, an Indian-American man, as its chief operating officer (COO). Who is Sabih Khan?
Sabih Khan, who is now Apple’s Senior Vice President of Operations, will take over his new job later this month. Khan is Indian because he is from Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. He was born in 1966 and relocated to Singapore shortly after that. He went to school there, and then he went to school in the US.
The tech lover who grew up in UP and is now Apple’s COO has a bachelor’s degree in economics and mechanical engineering from Tufts University and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Before joining Apple in 1995, Sabih Khan worked for GE Plastics, a company in Cupertino, where he was an applications development engineer and the technical leader for important accounts.
According to Apple’s official website, he is in charge of the company’s global supply chain. The page goes on to say, “He has played an important role in getting each of Apple’s new products to market.”
Sabih Khan has worked for Apple for 30 years and will now take over for Jeff Williams.

An official press release quoted Apple CEO Tim Cook as saying, “Sabih Khan is a brilliant strategist who has been one of the main architects of Apple’s supply chain…” He has helped us make progress on our lofty goals for environmental sustainability, cutting Apple’s carbon footprint by more than 60%.
